Fremont Profile

Overview

Fremont is a tiny village located in the state of Wisconsin. With a population of 665 people and just one neighborhood, Fremont is the 402nd largest community in Wisconsin.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some villages where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Fremont is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Fremont is a village of sales and office workers, managers, and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Fremont who work in office and administrative support (12.11%), management occupations (10.70%), and sales jobs (7.04%).

Setting & Lifestyle

It is a fairly quiet village because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Fremont has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Fremont has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Fremont than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Fremont may be for you.

Fremont is a small village, and as such doesn't have a public transit system that people use to get to and from their jobs every day.

Fremont Demographics

In terms of college education, the citizens of Fremont rank slightly lower than the national average. 15.71% of adults 25 and older in Fremont have a bachelor's degree or advanced degree, while 21.84% of adults have a 4-year degree or higher in the average American community.

The per capita income in Fremont in 2010 was $28,620, which is upper middle income relative to Wisconsin and the nation. This equates to an annual income of $114,480 for a family of four. However, Fremont contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

The people who call Fremont home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Fremont residents report their race to be White, followed by Native American. Important ancestries of people in Fremont include Irish, Polish, English, and Norwegian.

The most common language spoken in Fremont is English. Other important languages spoken here include Spanish and German.
