Triangle is a somewhat small town located in the state of Virginia. With a population of 9,589 people and two associated neighborhoods, Triangle is the 76th largest community in Virginia. There's nothing like the smell of a brand new house, and in Triangle, you'll find that a large proportion of houses were recently built. New growth in residential real estate is an indication that people are choosing to move to Triangle, and putting down their money on brand new construction. Triangle’s real estate is, on average, some of the newest in the nation. Triangle does seem to be experiencing an influx of affluent people, because the median household income is $114,837.00.

There are many members of the armed forces living in Triangle. You will notice when you visit or live here that some of the people you meet or see around town are employed by the armed services - even if they are not always in uniform.

Also of interest is that Triangle has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Telecommuters are a relatively large percentage of the workforce: 10.35% of people work from home. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce it is high relative to the nation. Triangle is an extremely ethnically-diverse town. The people who call Triangle home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Triangle residents report their race to be Black or African-American, followed by White. Triangle also has a sizeable Hispanic population (people of Hispanic origin can be of any race). People of Hispanic or Latino origin account for 20.73% of the town’s residents. Important ancestries of people in Triangle include African, Ghanian, German, Irish, and English.

Foreign born people are also an important part of Triangle's cultural character, accounting for 25.65% of the town’s population.
