Taft is a tiny town located in the state of Oklahoma. With a population of 245 people and just one neighborhood, Taft is the 325th largest community in Oklahoma.

Taft real estate is some of the most expensive in Oklahoma, although Taft house values don't compare to the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Taft is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Taft is a town of service providers, professionals, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Taft who work in architecture and engineering (14.67%), food service (13.33%), and management occupations (13.33%).

Taft is also a college town, where lots of students live while attending area colleges. Because of the high percentage of people living in Taft enrolled in college, Taft has a number of services, amenities and opportunities geared towards the needs and activities of students.
