Eucha Profile

Overview

Eucha is a very small town located in the state of Oklahoma. With a population of 4,117 people and just one neighborhood, Eucha is the 83rd largest community in Oklahoma.

Eucha real estate is some of the most expensive in Oklahoma, although Eucha house values don't compare to the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Eucha is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Eucha is a town of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Eucha who work in office and administrative support (13.19%), food service (11.38%), and sales jobs (10.22%).

Setting & Lifestyle

Another notable thing is that Eucha is an extremely popular destination for tourists and seasonal residents. So much of the population is seasonal such that the town’s population swells significantly during the vacation season, and drops again when the season ends. Because of this, much of the local economy is centered around tourism; some businesses may be operated only during the high season. During the low season, year-round residents will notice that the city is a substantially quieter place to live.

The overall crime rate in Eucha is one of the lowest in the US. This makes it one of the safer places to live in the country in terms of crime.

The town is relatively quiet, having a combination of lower population density and few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. For example, Eucha has relatively fewer families with younger children, and/or college students. Combined, this makes Eucha a pretty quiet place to live overall. If you like quiet, you will probably enjoy it here.

One downside of living in Eucha is that it can take a long time to commute to work. In Eucha, the average commute to work is 31.94 minutes, which is quite a bit higher than the national average.

As is often the case in a small town, Eucha doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.

Eucha Demographics

The citizens of Eucha are slightly better educated than the national average of 21.84% for all cities and towns, with 22.13% of adults in Eucha having a bachelor's degree or advanced degree.

The per capita income in Eucha in 2010 was $20,725, which is upper middle income relative to Oklahoma, and lower middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $82,900 for a family of four. However, Eucha contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

Eucha is an extremely ethnically-diverse town. The people who call Eucha home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Eucha residents report their race to be White, followed by Native American. Important ancestries of people in Eucha include English, German, French , and British.

The most common language spoken in Eucha is English. Other important languages spoken here include Native American languages and Spanish.
