Sodus Profile


Overview

Sodus is a very small village located in the state of New York. With a population of 1,755 people and just one neighborhood, Sodus is the 594th largest community in New York. Much of the housing stock in Sodus was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.

Occupations and Workforce

When you are in Sodus, you'll notice that it is more blue-collar than most other communities in America. 39.71% of Sodus’s employed work in blue-collar jobs, while America averages only 27.7% that do. Overall, Sodus is a village of service providers, production and manufacturing workers, and sales and office workers.
