Circle Profile

Overview

Circle is a tiny town located in the state of Montana. With a population of 613 people and just one neighborhood, Circle is the 97th largest community in Montana.

Occupations and Workforce

Circle is neither predominantly blue-collar nor white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Circle is a town of professionals, sales and office workers, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Circle who work in management occupations (18.79%), office and administrative support (15.44%), and sales jobs (6.38%).

And if you like science, one thing you'll find is that Circle has lots of scientists living in town - whether they be life scientists, physical scientists (like astronomers), or social scientists (like geographers!). So, if you're scientific-minded, you might like it here too.

Also of interest is that Circle has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Setting & Lifestyle

Circle’s overall crime rate ranks among the lowest in the nation, making it a very safe place to live.

The town is relatively quiet, having a combination of lower population density and few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. For example, Circle has relatively fewer families with younger children, and/or college students. Combined, this makes Circle a pretty quiet place to live overall. If you like quiet, you will probably enjoy it here.

Compared to the rest of the country, citizens of Circle spend much less time in their cars: on average, their commute to work is only 10.90 minutes. This also means that noise and pollution levels in the town are less than they would otherwise be.

Circle is a small town, and as such doesn't have a public transit system that people use to get to and from their jobs every day.

Circle Demographics

The percentage of adults in Circle with college degrees is slightly lower than the national average of 21.84% for all communities. 14.91% of adults in Circle have a bachelor's degree or advanced degree.

The per capita income in Circle in 2010 was $26,826, which is wealthy relative to Montana, and upper middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $107,304 for a family of four. However, Circle contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

The people who call Circle home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Circle residents report their race to be White, followed by Native American. Important ancestries of people in Circle include Norwegian, French , Irish, and English.

The most common language spoken in Circle is English. Other important languages spoken here include Scandinavian languages and African languages.
