Most Expensive Aventura Neighborhoods
Aventura is a medium-sized city located in the state of Florida. With a population of 37,451 people and nine constituent neighborhoods, Aventura is the 80th largest community in Florida.
Aventura home prices are not only among the most expensive in Florida, but Aventura real estate also consistently ranks among the most expensive in America.
Aventura is a decidedly white-collar city, with fully 94.97% of the workforce employed in white-collar jobs, well above the national average. Overall, Aventura is a city of sales and office workers, professionals and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Aventura who work in sales jobs (24.21%), management occupations (18.13%) and business and financial occupations (8.42%).
Also of interest is that Aventura has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.
One interesting thing about the economy is that relatively large numbers of people worked from their home: 11.70% of the workforce. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce this is high compared to the rest of the county. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.
Another notable thing is that Aventura is a major vacation destination. Much of the city’s population is seasonal: many people own second homes and only live there part-time, during the vacation season. The effect on the local economy is that many of the businesses are dependent on tourist dollars, and may operate only during the high season. As the vacation season ends, Aventura’s population drops significantly, such that year-round residents will notice that the city is a much quieter place to live.
One downside of living in Aventura, however, is that residents on average have to contend with a long commute, spending on average 31.53 minutes every day commuting to work.
Do you like to read, write and learn? If you move to Aventura, you'll likely find that many of your neighbors like to as well.
