Lannon Profile

Overview

Lannon is a very small village located in the state of Wisconsin. With a population of 1,086 people and just one neighborhood, Lannon is the 336th largest community in Wisconsin.

Lannon real estate is some of the most expensive in Wisconsin, although Lannon house values don't compare to the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some villages, Lannon isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Lannon are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Lannon is a village of sales and office workers, professionals, and production and manufacturing workers. There are especially a lot of people living in Lannon who work in office and administrative support (23.20%), sales jobs (7.52%), and business and financial occupations (5.96%).

Also of interest is that Lannon has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Setting & Lifestyle

It is a fairly quiet village because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Lannon has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Lannon has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Lannon than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Lannon may be for you.

Lannon Demographics

The education level of Lannon citizens is a little higher than the average for US cities and towns: 21.08% of adults in Lannon have at least a bachelor's degree.

The per capita income in Lannon in 2010 was $29,761, which is wealthy relative to Wisconsin, and upper middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $119,044 for a family of four. However, Lannon contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

The people who call Lannon home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Lannon residents report their race to be White, followed by Native American. Lannon also has a sizeable Hispanic population (people of Hispanic origin can be of any race). People of Hispanic or Latino origin account for 11.33% of the village’s residents. Important ancestries of people in Lannon include Polish, Irish, English, and Norwegian.
