Overview

Canistota is a tiny city located in the state of South Dakota. With a population of 638 people and just one neighborhood, Canistota is the 89th largest community in South Dakota. Much of the housing stock in Canistota was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic cities in the country.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some cities, Canistota isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Canistota are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Canistota is a city of service providers, professionals, and managers.
