Bergen is a very small village located in the state of New York. With a population of 1,150 people and just one neighborhood, Bergen is the 699th largest community in New York. Much of the housing stock in Bergen was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.

Unlike some villages, Bergen isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Bergen are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Bergen is a village of sales and office workers, professionals and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Bergen who work in sales jobs (16.27%), office and administrative support (12.28%) and teaching (8.93%).
