MapQuest Founder and Former CEO to Head Company’s Advisory Board

June 27, 2006 (WOONSOCKET, RI)

Location, Inc., the creators of NeighborhoodScout.com, a nationwide neighborhood search engine for homebuyers and movers, today announced that Barry J. Glick will lead the Company’s advisory board. Glick was a founder and served as CEO of MapQuest.com from its beginning, and has had a 20+-year career building and leading scalable and innovative companies built around the theme of location, image, and text-based information products and services. AOL purchased MapQuest in 2000.

“We are very pleased and excited that Barry Glick has joined the NeighborhoodScout team as head of our advisory board,” said Andrew Schiller, company President and the creator of NeighborhoodScout. “We are looking forward to accelerating the growth of the company as the need for web-based location information, customized to the needs of each user, expands rapidly. The more people spend on a home purchase, the more they are seeking insights and value-added information – not just raw data – to help them make the best decisions. Barry’s extensive background and experience will help deepen NeighborhoodScout’s strong position in neighborhood search capabilities, as well as expand NeighborhoodScout into new markets.”

Consumers come to NeighborhoodScout.com before buying a home, put in their personal criteria for what they are searching for in a neighborhood, and use the search engine to instantly focus their house hunt on the neighborhoods that best match their personal criteria, whether they are moving across town or across the country. An hour on NeighborhoodScout can save people weeks of searching through neighborhoods, and save them $1,000s of dollars on their next home purchase by matching them with the right neighborhoods for their needs.

For example, if a homebuyer is looking for good schools combined with reasonable home prices within 20 miles of New York City, NeighborhoodScout will uncover the best matching neighborhoods in their price range in less than five seconds using its search technology that reveals results to the sub-zip code level, so the best options are never missed. The United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded a patent earlier this year for the search technology that powers NeighborhoodScout.

“NeighborhoodScout is truly an outstanding service,” said Glick. “I am drawn to how well it can help people at all stages of life make the best decisions on where to buy a home, even if they are purchasing in their local area. Whether they are focused on the resale value of the home, the quality of life in a neighborhood, or both, the service should be indispensable to the millions of annual homebuyers in the U.S. At MapQuest, we attempted to build a service with some of the same goals as NeighborhoodScout, but it was not nearly as sophisticated and was never really completed. I applaud what Andrew and his team have done, and am glad to join them as head of their advisory board.”

Glick’s background includes significant capital-raising efforts, along with new product development and a focus on responding to market needs. In addition to his CEO position at MapQuest, he has been CEO of Webraska, and a partner at Geocodex LLC, an intellectual property-based company in the field of location integrity, information access control and information security. He previously was a Principal of Carillon Ventures LLC and held senior-level management positions at Navteq, Spatial Data Sciences Inc. and PAR Technology Corporation. Glick holds PhD and BA degrees from the State University of New York, Buffalo and a Masters Degree from Cornell University.

Location, Inc.’s board includes three other professionals with significant complementary experience: Mr. Bruce Walczak, former General Manager of PHH Homequity (now Cendant Mobility) and former SVP of Home Ownership Services for Prudential Real Estate and Relocation; Mr. James Collins, Executive Vice President of Clark University; and Mr. William Fuller, Principal of Fuller Capital Management.
