Overview

Wapella is a tiny village located in the state of Illinois. With a population of 542 people and just one neighborhood, Wapella is the 740th largest community in Illinois.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some villages where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Wapella is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Wapella is a village of sales and office workers, service providers, and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Wapella who work in office and administrative support (19.02%), teaching (8.36%), and business and financial occupations (7.49%).
