Polacca is a very small town located in the state of Arizona. With a population of 4,221 people and just one neighborhood, Polacca is the 80th largest community in Arizona.
Occupations and Workforce
Unlike some towns, Polacca isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Polacca are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Polacca is a town of professionals, service providers and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Polacca who work in management occupations (12.64%), office and administrative support (10.64%) and teaching (9.50%).
Of important note, Polacca is also a town of artists. Polacca has more artists, designers and people working in media than 90% of the communities in America. This concentration of artists helps shape Polacca’s character.
Telecommuters are a relatively large percentage of the workforce: 26.64% of people work from home. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce it is high relative to the nation. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.
Setting & Lifestyle
Residents will find that the town is relatively quiet. This is because it is not over-populated, and it has fewer college students, renters, and young children - all of whom can be noisy at times. So, if you're looking for a relatively peaceful place to live, Polacca is worth considering.
