Occupations and Workforce

Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Keo is a town of professionals, sales and office workers and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Keo who work in office and administrative support (16.85%), food service (12.36%) and farm management occupations (8.99%).
In addition, many people in Keo have jobs in agriculture, more so than in most other communities in America. As a result, you will see quite a number of farms around town.
Of important note, Keo is also a town of artists. Keo has more artists, designers and people working in media than 90% of the communities in America. This concentration of artists helps shape Keo’s character.
Setting & Lifestyle
Keo’s overall crime rate ranks among the lowest in the nation, making it a very safe place to live.
It is a fairly quiet town because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Keo has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Keo has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Keo than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Keo may be for you.
As is often the case in a small town, Keo doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
