Dayton is a very small city located in the state of Washington. With a population of 2,460 people and just one neighborhood, Dayton is the 173rd largest community in Washington. Much of the housing stock in Dayton was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic cities in the country.
Occupations and Workforce
Unlike some cities where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Dayton is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Dayton is a city of service providers, sales and office workers and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Dayton who work in management occupations (14.16%), personal care services (12.20%) and food service (8.02%).
