Falls Profile

Overview

Falls is a very small town located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 4,265 people and just one neighborhood, Falls is the 548th largest community in Pennsylvania.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Falls is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Falls is a town of sales and office workers, service providers, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Falls who work in office and administrative support (13.13%), management occupations (11.83%), and sales jobs (9.59%).

Setting & Lifestyle

It is a fairly quiet town because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Falls has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Falls has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Falls than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Falls may be for you.

Falls Demographics

The education level of Falls citizens, measured as those with bachelor's degrees or advanced degrees, is similar to the national average for all American cities and towns. 18.03% of adults 25 and older in Falls have a college degree.

The per capita income in Falls in 2010 was $25,088, which is middle income relative to Pennsylvania, and upper middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $100,352 for a family of four. However, Falls contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

The people who call Falls home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Falls residents report their race to be White, followed by Black or African-American. Important ancestries of people in Falls include Irish, Polish, English, and Italian.

The most common language spoken in Falls is English. Other important languages spoken here include Spanish and German.
