Otego is a very small village located in the state of New York. With a population of 984 people and just one neighborhood, Otego is the 729th largest community in New York. Much of the housing stock in Otego was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.

Unlike some villages, Otego isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Otego are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs.
