Capitan is a very small village located in the state of New Mexico. With a population of 1,418 people and just one neighborhood, Capitan is the 73rd largest community in New Mexico.
Occupations and Workforce
Unlike some villages where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Capitan is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Capitan is a village of service providers, sales and office workers and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Capitan who work in sales jobs (19.40%), maintenance occupations (13.58%) and food service (9.91%).
Setting & Lifestyle
The village is relatively quiet, having a combination of lower population density and few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy.
