Mount Ayr is a very small city located in the state of Iowa. With a population of 1,680 people and just one neighborhood, Mount Ayr is the 178th largest community in Iowa. Mount Ayr has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic cities.
