Montesano is a somewhat small coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Washington. With a population of 7,323 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Montesano is the 109th largest community in Washington.

Montesano is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Montesano is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Montesano who work in office and administrative support jobs (17.55%), sales jobs (8.30%), and teaching (6.58%).
