Aberdeen is a somewhat small coastal city (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Washington. With a population of 16,494 people and four constituent neighborhoods, Aberdeen is the 58th largest community in Washington. Aberdeen has a large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic cities in the country.

Aberdeen is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Aberdeen is a city of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals.
