Aransas Pass is a somewhat small coastal city (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Texas. With a population of 8,233 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Aransas Pass is the 248th largest community in Texas.

Unlike some cities where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Aransas Pass is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Aransas Pass is a city of sales and office workers, service providers, and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Aransas Pass who work in office and administrative support jobs (15.10%), sales jobs (9.34%), and food service (8.77%).
