About Coplay

Coplay is a very small borough located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 3,387 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Coplay is the 507th largest community in Pennsylvania. Much of the housing stock in Coplay was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic boroughs in the country.

Unlike some boroughs, Coplay isn't mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Coplay are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Coplay is a borough of sales and office workers, professionals, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Coplay who work in office and administrative support jobs (21.56%), sales jobs (12.31%), and healthcare (5.65%).

Of important note, Coplay is also a borough of artists. Coplay has more artists, designers and people working in media than 90% of the communities in America. This concentration of artists helps shape Coplay's character.

Also of interest is that Coplay has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Coplay is very much a car-oriented borough. This is because the population of Coplay isn't large enough or dense enough to support an extensive public transit system. It has a lot of rural roads, and the distance between houses can be quite large, which together tends to discourage walking and bicycling to work. 96.72% of residents commute to work in their own car (and the drive is typically to a job out of town). People also tend to drive out of town for other services as well, such as shopping, doctors appointments, and more.

As is often the case in a small borough, Coplay doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
