Alpine is a very small coastal borough (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of New Jersey. With a population of 2,183 people and just one neighborhood, Alpine is the 449th largest community in New Jersey.

Alpine is a decidedly white-collar borough, with fully 92.18% of the workforce employed in white-collar jobs, well above the national average. Overall, Alpine is a borough of professionals, managers, and sales and office workers. There are especially a lot of people living in Alpine who work in management occupations (22.48%), sales jobs (18.61%), and healthcare (11.58%).
