Springfield real estate can be found in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within the Northeastern region of the United States. As of 2000, U.S. Census real estate statistics reported that the city had a total population of 152,082. A 2003 U.S. Census real estate statistic estimate put the city's population at 152,157, making it the third largest in Massachusetts.
Springfield, home to the Basketball Hall of Fame, sits on the bank of the Connecticut River, just a few miles north of the Massachusetts-Connecticut State Line. Along the River, Springfield real estate is fairly low and flat. Moving outward from the river, the terrain becomes more hilly.
