Preston is a tiny coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Maryland. With a population of 575 people and just one neighborhood, Preston is the 294th largest community in Maryland. Much of the housing stock in Preston was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.
Preston is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Preston is a town of sales and office workers, managers, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Preston who work in office and administrative support jobs (22.97%), sales jobs (12.84%), and management occupations (10.14%).
