About Comer

Comer is a very small town located in the state of Georgia. With a population of 4,075 people and just one neighborhood, Comer is the 186th largest community in Georgia.

Comer is a blue-collar town, with 41.5% of people working in blue-collar occupations, while the average in America is just 24.7%. Overall, Comer is a town of sales and office workers, production and manufacturing workers, and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Comer who work in office and administrative support jobs (16.10%), sales jobs (8.28%), and teaching (5.63%).

Comer is very much a car-oriented town. This is because the population of Comer isn't large enough or dense enough to support an extensive public transit system. It has a lot of rural roads, and the distance between houses can be quite large, which together tends to discourage walking and bicycling to work. 97.4% of residents commute to work in their own car (and the drive is typically to a job out of town). People also tend to drive out of town for other services as well, such as shopping, doctors appointments, and more.

As is often the case in a small town, Comer doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
