Clayton is a very small coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Delaware. With a population of 1,279 people and just one neighborhood, Clayton is the 32nd largest community in Delaware. Clayton has a large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.
