About Meadview

Meadview is a tiny town located in the state of Arizona. With a population of 913 people and just one neighborhood, Meadview is the 125th largest community in Arizona.

Meadview is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Meadview is a town of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Meadview who work in sales jobs (13.57%), teaching (11.56%), and building maintenance and grounds keeping (11.56%).

Of important note, Meadview is also a town of artists. Meadview has more artists, designers and people working in media than 90% of the communities in America. This concentration of artists helps shape Meadview's character.

Telecommuters are a relatively large percentage of the workforce: 9.19% of people work from home. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce it is high relative to the nation. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.

Meadview is an extremely popular destination for tourists and seasonal residents. So much of the population is seasonal such that the town's population swells significantly during the vacation season, and drops again when the season ends. Because of this, much of the local economy is centered around tourism; some businesses may be operated only during the high season. During the low season, year-round residents will notice that the city is a substantially quieter place to live.

Seniors make up 34.72% of Meadview's population, making it a popular place to retire. Because of the prominence of the retirement community, Meadview is good place for those over 65 to settle, as they will find many opportunities for socializing, as well as having access to many services oriented toward seniors.

Meadview is a small town, and as is often the case with smaller towns, the population isn't large or dense enough to support much in the way of a public transportation system. In fact, there are many rural roads around Meadview, which makes walking or biking to and from work a bit difficult. This makes for a very car-oriented town: 97.02% of residents commute to work by private automobile, and people often drive out of town for work, shopping, and other activities.

As is often the case in a small town, Meadview doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
