Mableton, GA Information

About Mableton

Mableton is a medium-sized town located in the state of Georgia. With a population of 29,552 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Mableton is the 23rd largest community in Georgia.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Mableton is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Mableton is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Mableton who work in office and administrative support jobs (18.85%), sales jobs (10.36%), and management occupations (9.11%).

Also of interest is that Mableton has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

One downside of living in Mableton is that it can take a long time to commute to work. In Mableton, the average commute to work is 32.29 minutes, which is quite a bit higher than the national average. On the other hand, local public transit is widely used in the town, so leaving the car at home and taking transit is often a viable alternative.

Like elsewhere in America, most people in Mableton use a private automobile to get to work. But notably, a substantial number of Mableton's citizens do make use of public transit in their daily commute, primarily riding the bus. This helps more people get to work with less air pollution, and require fewer highways to get them there.
