Canton is a somewhat small city located in the state of Georgia. With a population of 7,655 people and six constituent neighborhoods, Canton is the 122nd largest community in Georgia.

Unlike some cities where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Canton is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Canton is a city of sales and office workers, construction workers and builders, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Canton who work in office and administrative support jobs (13.77%), sales jobs (10.66%), and teaching (7.89%).

Being a small city, Canton does not have a public transit system used by locals to get to and from work.
