About Dania

Dania is a somewhat small coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Florida. With a population of 15,104 people and just one neighborhood, Dania is the 174th largest community in Florida.

Dania is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Dania is a town of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Dania who work in sales jobs (15.24%), office and administrative support jobs (13.53%), and management occupations (8.52%).

Dania, while not large, also appears to be attractive to some younger, educated professionals, who help shape the character of the town.

The town is also nautical, which means that parts of Dania are somewhat historic and touch the ocean or tidal bodies of water, such as inlets and tidal rivers. Quite often, nautical areas such as these attract visitors and locals who come to enjoy the scenery and various waterfront activities.

Although Dania is a relatively small town, quite a few people get to and from work by way of the bus, often traveling to the central city in the area.

People of Hispanic or Latino origin account for 10.43% of the town's residents. Important ancestries of people in Dania include Italian, Irish, German, English, French Canadian, and Haitian.
