Akron is a very small borough located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 4,046 people and just one neighborhood, Akron is the 436th largest community in Pennsylvania.

Unlike some boroughs where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Akron is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Akron is a borough of sales and office workers, professionals, and production and manufacturing workers.
