About Fletcher

Fletcher is a very small town located in the state of Oklahoma. With a population of 2,553 people and just one neighborhood, Fletcher is the 148th largest community in Oklahoma.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Fletcher is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Fletcher is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and construction workers and builders. There are especially a lot of people living in Fletcher who work in office and administrative support jobs (15.38%), teaching (9.55%), and sales jobs (7.32%).

Fletcher is a small town, and as is often the case with smaller towns, the population isn't large or dense enough to support much in the way of a public transportation system. In fact, there are many rural roads around Fletcher, which makes walking or biking to and from work a bit difficult. This makes for a very car-oriented town: 96.48% of residents commute to work by private automobile, and people often drive out of town for work, shopping, and other activities.

Fletcher, even though it is a small town, has many people who use public transportation every day to get to and from work. This is a great benefit for people in the town who have a need for low-cost transportation.
