Deeth is a tiny town located in the state of Nevada. With a population of 195 people and just one neighborhood, Deeth is the 56th largest community in Nevada.
Deeth is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Deeth is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Deeth who work in office and administrative support jobs (34.83%), teaching (20.22%), and farm management (19.10%).
In addition, many people in Deeth have jobs in agriculture, more so than in most other communities in America. As a result, you will see quite a number of farms around town.
Telecommuters are a relatively large percentage of the workforce: 23.75% of people work from home. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce it is high relative to the nation. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.
One downside of living in Deeth, however, is that residents on average have to contend with a long commute, spending on average 33.44 minutes every day commuting to work. It is, however, a pedestrian-friendly town. Many of its neighborhoods are dense enough and have amenities close enough together that people find it feasible to get around on foot.
As is often the case in a small town, Deeth doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
In terms of college education, Deeth is somewhat better educated than the 14.96% who have a 4-year degree or higher in the typical US community: 23.53% of adults 25 and older in the town have at least a bachelor's degree.
The per capita income in Deeth in 2000 was $16,510, which is lower middle income relative to Nevada and the nation. This equates to an annual income of $66,040 for a family of four.
The people who call Deeth home come from a variety of different races and ancestries. The most prevalent race in Deeth is White, followed by African-American. Important ancestries of people in Deeth include European, English, German, Italian, Scottish, Scotch-Irish, French, and Danish.
The most common language spoken in Deeth is English. Some people also speak Spanish.
