Charlotte real estate is located in the southern part of central North Carolina. It is the largest city in North Carolina and the twentieth largest city in the United States. Nicknamed the "Queen City", it is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation and is also the second-largest banking center in the country. Charlotte is near the South Carolina border, separated by Pineville.
Charlotte is a banking center, with several bank headquarters in skyscrapers built on top of old gold mines. People come from all over the world to live in Charlotte. The temperature ranges from about 14 F (-10 C) to 104 F (40 C). Charlotte is not as well-equipped for snow and ice as more northerly cities; when there is more than 2cm of snow on the roads, or any ice, the city shuts down. This happens about once a year on average. Charlotte is threatened several times a year by hurricanes, mostly in the fall, but only once every several years is the city actually hit by one.*
