About Page

Page is a tiny town located in the state of North Dakota. With a population of 521 people and just one neighborhood, Page is the 97th largest community in North Dakota. Much of the housing stock in Page was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.

Unlike some towns , Page isn't mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Page are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Page is a town of managers, service providers, and sales and office workers. There are especially a lot of people living in Page who work in farm management (22.84%), food service (9.48%), and office and administrative support jobs (9.48%).

You will also find that a lot of people in Page work in agricultural jobs - much more than in the average community in America. This will be quite apparent if you drive around town, as much of the landscape is dedicated to farms.

Telecommuters are a relatively large percentage of the workforce: 14.47% of people work from home. While this number may seem small overall, as a fraction of the total workforce it is high relative to the nation. These workers are often telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute. Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small businesses out of their homes.

One of the benefits of Page is that there is very little traffic. The average commute to work is 17.03 minutes, which is substantially less than the national average. Not only does this mean that the drive to work is less aggravating, but noise and pollution levels are lower as a result.

Page is a small town, and as such doesn't have a public transit system that people use to get to and from their jobs every day.

Page Information and Demographics
