Pantego is a very small coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of North Carolina. With a population of 2,062 people and just one neighborhood, Pantego is the 305th largest community in North Carolina.

Because occupations involving physical labor dominate the local economy, Pantego is generally considered to be a blue-collar town. 40.2% of the Pantego workforce is employed in blue-collar occupations, compared to the national average of 24.7%. Overall, Pantego is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and service providers.
