About Enterprise

Enterprise is a very small town located in the state of Mississippi. With a population of 2,691 people and just one neighborhood, Enterprise is the 118th largest community in Mississippi.

When you are in Enterprise, you'll notice that it is more blue-collar than most other communities in America. 50.9% of Enterprise's employed work in blue-collar jobs, while America averages only 24.7% that do. Overall, Enterprise is a town of production and manufacturing workers, construction workers and builders, and sales and office workers. There are especially a lot of people living in Enterprise who work in healthcare (9.70%), sales jobs (9.52%), and office and administrative support jobs (8.19%).

Enterprise is a very car-oriented town. 97.71% of residents commute to work in a private automobile rather than by other means, such as public transit, bicycling, or walking. This is because Enterprise is a small town, and most people who live here have to drive out of town for work, and the town population is not large nor dense enough to support an extensive public transportation system. Enterprise has a lot of rural roads, and houses can be far apart. Many residents drive out of town for regular shopping trips as well.

As is often the case in a small town, Enterprise doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
