About Northview

Northview is a somewhat small town located in the state of Michigan. With a population of 14,674 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Northview is the 94th largest community in Michigan.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Northview is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Northview is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Northview who work in office and administrative support jobs (17.73%), sales jobs (12.45%), and management occupations (7.77%).

Urban sophisticates are educated, wealthy, executives and professionals, who have urbane tastes in books, food, and travel, whether they actually live in a big city, or choose to reside in a small town. In big or medium-sized cities, urban sophisticates tend to frequent art institutions such as opera, symphonies, ballet, live theatre, and museums.

For most residents of Northview, getting to work requires a car. In fact, 97.9% of people in Northview drive alone to work on most days, making Northview a very car-oriented town. In general, car-oriented communities tend to emphasize streets, highways, and ease of parking, often to the detriment of walkability. Strip centers are a feature of Northview's landscape.

As is often the case in a small town, Northview doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
