Alma is a very small town located in the state of Kansas. With a population of 1,807 people and just one neighborhood, Alma is the 148th largest community in Kansas. Alma has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.

Unlike some towns , Alma isn't mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Alma are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Alma is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Alma who work in office and administrative support jobs (18.64%), farm management (9.98%), and teaching (9.32%).

In addition, many people in Alma have jobs in agriculture, more so than in most other communities in America. As a result, you will see quite a number of farms around town.
