Wallace is a very small town located in the state of Idaho. With a population of 2,471 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Wallace is the 59th largest community in Idaho. Wallace has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Wallace is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Wallace is a town of construction workers and builders, sales and office workers, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Wallace who work in office and administrative support jobs (12.55%), food service (9.60%), and sales jobs (8.12%).
