About Hakalau

Hakalau is a tiny coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Hawaii. With a population of 322 people and just one neighborhood, Hakalau is the 65th largest community in Hawaii.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Hakalau is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Hakalau is a town of managers, professionals, and sales and office workers.
