About Dania

Dania is a somewhat small coastal town (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Florida. With a population of 15,104 people and just one neighborhood, Dania is the 174th largest community in Florida.

Dania is neither predominently blue-collar or white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Dania is a town of sales and office workers, service providers, and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Dania who work in sales jobs (15.24%), office and administrative support jobs (13.53%), and management occupations (8.52%).

Dania, while not large, also appears to be attractive to some younger, educated professionals, who help shape the character of the town.

One of the nice things about Dania is that is it nautical, meaning that parts of the town are somewhat historic and on the ocean, or touch tidal bodies of water, such as inlets and tidal rivers. Because of this, visitors and locals will often go to these areas to take in the scenery or to enjoy waterfront activities.

Although Dania is a relatively small town, quite a few people get to and from work by way of the bus, often traveling to the central city in the area.

Dania is an extremely ethnically-diverse town. The people who call Dania home come from a variety of different races and ancestries. The most prevalent race in Dania is White, followed by African-American. Dania also has a sizeable Hispanic population (people of Hispanic origin can be of any race). People of Hispanic or Latino origin account for 10.43% of the town's residents. Important ancestries of people in Dania include Italian, Irish, German, English, French Canadian, and Haitian.

In addition, Dania has a lot of people living here who were born outside of the US (18.79%).
