Delmar is a very small town located in the state of Delaware. With a population of 1,383 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Delmar is the 31st largest community in Delaware. Delmar has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic towns in the country.

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Delmar is neither predominently one or the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Delmar is a town of sales and office workers, professionals, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Delmar who work in sales jobs (16.67%), office and administrative support jobs (14.95%), and healthcare (5.33%).
